Executive Director, Development Office and Foundation

Shelagh Murray

Shelagh became the Executive Director, Development office and Foundation in January 2011. She previously had been at the University of Canterbury where she was Executive Officer of the Canterbury Foundation and managed its alumni and development department.

In this role she holds the overall strategic responsibility for the Development Office and management of the Victoria Foundation. She is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the alumni relations programme, setting the direction for all stages in the process of developing major fundraising projects and providing leadership to the Development Office.

Director of Development Strategy

Tricia Walbridge
BSocSc (Hons) Birmingham; CFRE

Tricia was the Executive Director of the Victoria University Foundation from its inception in 1990 to 2011 when she moved to the new position of Director of Development Strategy. In this role she focuses on a long term fundraising strategy for Victoria University and the establishment of a large endowment fund, while continuing to raise funds for selected projects of strategic importance to the University and maintaining relationships with these donors.

Development Manager - Planned Giving

Diana Meads
BA, Victoria University of Wellington

Diana has special responsibility for bequests. She also works on a range of other fundraising activities that involve partnerships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, trusts and foundations.

Diana holds a BA majoring in English from Victoria University. She joined the Foundation in February 2008.

Business Manager

Fleur Morales
BSc, Victoria University of Wellington

Fleur is the Development Office's Business Manager.  Her wide-ranging responsibilities include monitoring projects privately funded through the Foundation; liaison with donors and sponsors of scholarships and prizes; servicing the Foundation’s charitable boards in New Zealand and overseas; and marketing and communication of the Foundation’s work.

Fleur is a Victoria University graduate and holds a BSc majoring in Psychology. She joined the Foundation in October 2011.

Senior Administrator

Deborah O'Sullivan
BA, Victoria University of Wellington

Deborah is the Development Office's Senior Administrator and her role includes responsiblity for a wide range of administrative functions and Foundation events.

She is a Victoria University graduate with a BA majoring in Criminology and Sociology.

Accountant

Yun Ting Layburn
BCA, Victoria University of Wellingon

Yun Ting is the Development Office's accountant. Her duties include
overseeing the management of trust
funds of approximately $12 million and reporting to the Board of Trustees at the quarterly Finance and Risk, and the Investment Committee, meetings.

YunTing is a Victoria University graduate with a BCA majoring in Accounting.
