Undergraduate Exchange Scholarship
The Faculty of Commerce and Administration could help you pay for it!
All exchange students receive a grant of up to $1000 to help finance their trip but undergraduate students of the Faculty of Commerce and Administration can also apply for an exchange scholarship to help towards expenses.
Commerce and Administration undergraduate exchange scholarships are valued at $3000 for a one trimester exchange or $5000 for up to two trimesters of exchange.
Who is eligible?
The scholarships will be awarded to students studying for undergraduate degrees within the Faculty of Commerce and Administration who have been accepted for the Victoria University exchange programme and who have B average or above grades. Applicants should be able to demonstrate a capacity for leadership and responsibility in business or the wider community.
At least half of the courses undertaken on the exchange should count towards a Victoria University of Wellington undergraduate degree. Failure to meet these requirements may result in the recipient having to refund part of this award.

How to apply
Students must apply to the Exchange Office first. Application forms are available on the Vic OE website or from the Exchange Office, and include two short essays. View the Vic OE website for deadlines.
The closing dates for undergraduate exchange scholarship applications are 1 May and 1 October. Applicants will be asked to complete all documentation outlined on the application form and submit this documentation and the application form to the Scholarships Office, 10 Kelburn Parade by 4.30pm on the due date.
A short personal statement outlining the applicant’s career goals and indicating how they demonstrate a capacity for leadership and responsibility is required. This can also include how the applicant may have demonstrated leadership within their School, University, community or working environment. Please clearly state your study plans and when you hope to undertake your exchange.
