External Committees and Boards

Faculty Advisory Board

The Faculty Advisory Board is comprised of highly accomplished individuals who share their knowledge, wisdom and passion for quality higher education in New Zealand through the Dean and Pro Vice-Chancellor.

School Advisory Boards

Each school within the Faculty of Commerce and Administration has an advisory board.  The boards meet regularly to provide advice and guidance to the School.

Internal Committees and Boards

The Faculty of Commerce and Administration has a number of committees and boards including, but not restricted to:

The Faculty Management Team, which comprises the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Deputy Dean, Associate Deans, Director of Academic Programme Accreditation, Heads of School, Student and Academic Services Manager, HR Manager, and Finance Adviser.   The group meet monthly to discuss strategic management issues within the Faculty.

Faculty Board meetings are held on average up to ten times per year and are open to any academic Faculty staff member whose teaching and research contributes to the academic programmes for which the Faculty has responsibility. The Board also includes five students currently enrolled in academic programmes within the Faculty and any other persons elected to membership. The purpose of this committee is to advise the University Academic Board, the Vice-Chancellor and the committees of the Academic Board on all aspects of the academic qualifications, academic programmes and research matters for which the Faculty has responsibility and on any other academic matters which may be referred to it.

Research and Leave committees operate to assist with the work of the Faculty Research Office. 

Equity Advisory Committee works with the University Equity Advisory Group to coordinate the FCA equity strategy with the wider University.
