Key responsibilities

Mark is the technical services manager for the Wellington Faculty of Architecture and Design Innovation. He is responsible for the management of the Faculty technical staff and oversees all technical infrastructure and services provided to the Faculty and schools, in support of the schools’ academic programmes and research.

Mark’s responsibilities include:

  • Management of technical staff within the Wellington Faculty of Architecture and Design Innovation overseeing and coordinating technical resources, ensuring appropriate delivery of technical services managing the annual capital acquisition and maintenance programmes.
  • Managing the health and safety for all technical areas and staff equipment inventory management.
  • Maintenance of all non-building physical technical resources.

Other responsibilities include assisting with building management and security issues, and co-ordination with Faculty administration staff for Te Aro campus. Mark is also the Faculty representative for the Victoria University of Wellington Health and Safety Committee and the building fire warden.

Mark comes from a background in electronics equipment systems maintenance, facility operations, and contract management.
