IECS Archives & Resources

Archives

The Institute's archive collection was established by Professor Helen May in 1995 and holds a combination of institution and personal collections. Donations of archival material are always welcome.

The institute archive has the largest historical collection of early childhood / parenting material in New Zealand with over 1,000 old books and reports.

The archives and historical collection are available for public reference by appointment.

Resources

The Institute's specialist resources collection of early childhood books, journals, reports and videotapes.

The resource collection is for reference by staff and postgraduate students only. Undergraduate students have access to limited collections of material for use in specific courses.

Regularly updated catalogues are available of each of the collections.
