Profile

Dr Beth Greener is Senior Lecturer in International Relations at Massey University, New Zealand. Her research interests lie in the field of international security. Dr Greener has published on issues such as counter-terrorism and human trafficking; the rise of police in international peace support operations; and liberal approaches to the use of force. She has also been actively involved in the UN Police Division’s International Policing Advisory Council, has been involved in two study groups for CSCAP-NZ, has chaired the Palmerston North branch of the New Zealand Institute of International Affairs, teaches international relations to Senior and Junior Staff Courses for the NZDF, and also been involved with Asia:NZ’s Young Leader and Track II diplomacy programmes. Dr Greener is currently working on a Marsden-funded team project led by Professor Jacob Bercovitch as well as on a new Asia Pacific Civil Military Centre of Excellence-funded project on police-military relations.
