Ann TrotterPositionSenior Fellow ProfileAnn Trotter, ONZM, Emeritus Professor, University of Otago, is a graduate of the University of New Zealand and the University of London where she completed her PhD at the London School of Economics. Her books Britain and East Asia 1933-1937 (1975) and New Zealand and Japan 1945-1952 (1990) are concerned with the international history of East Asia with particular reference to Japan and she has contributed to various academic journals and collections in this subject area. She directed the University of Otago's annual Foreign Policy School several times. In Wellington, where she now lives, she is a life member of the New Zealand Institute of International Affairs and a member of the New Zealand Council for Security Cooperation in the Asia Pacific (CSCAP).
