StaffDr. Elaine MossmanSenior Research FellowElaine Mossman joined CJRC in March 2005 shortly after completing her PhD through the Education Department, University of Canterbury. The topic of her thesis was adolescent mental health. She has worked for many years as a contract researcher, although she has also spent time as Education co-ordinator at Christchurch Women’s Prison and a lecturer at Bristol University. She has conducted research across a wide range of disciplines including criminal justice, psychology, health and education. Her particular interest is in mixed methodology research design. More recently Elaine has carried out research to assist in the review of the Prostitution Reform Act 2003 for the Ministry of Justice. She has also completed an evaluation of a Child, Youth and Family youth justice initiative, the Supported Bail Programme. Currently Elaine is one the core research team conducting research on effective interventions for adult victims/survivors of sexual violence for the Ministry of Women's Affairs. |
