StaffDr. Elaine MossmanSenior Research FellowElaine Mossman joined CJRC in March 2005 shortly after completing her PhD through the Education Department, University of Canterbury. The topic of her thesis was adolescent mental health. She has worked for many years as a contract researcher, although she has also spent time as Education co-ordinator at Christchurch Women’s Prison and a lecturer at Bristol University. She has conducted research across a wide range of disciplines including criminal justice, psychology, health and education. Her particular interest is in mixed methodology research design. Elaine is currently assisting New Zealand Police in validating their Youth Offending Risk Screening Tool (YORST) and working alongside Victim Support to help them to develop a consumer evaluation system.
