Lesely MacGibbon

Senior Research Fellow

Lesley MacGibbon has been working part-time at CJRC since 2007. She has 15 years experience working as an evaluator, completing evaluations of community and educational programmes, and government and local government policies. She has particular strengths in working with NGO’s, community organisations, and diverse groups of people.

Lesley completed her PhD at Canterbury University's education department in 2002. The title of her dissertation was "Power, Knowledge and Reflexivity: learning "from experience" in a woman's refuge.

Lesley has been involved in a number of Centre projects including:

  • research for the review of the Prostitution Reform Act 2003
  • vehicle crime in outdoor recreation areas
  • effective interventions for adults victims/survivors of sexual violence
