Shi Yinhong's China-US relations under Trump

Professor Shi Yinhong has presented a thought-provoking talk on China’s strategic approach toward the United States under Trump in a well-attended public lecture in Wellington. Professor Shi is Chairman of the Academic Board in the School of International Studies and Director of the Center on American Studies at Renmin University in Beijing and a highly regarded writer and commentator on international relations, the history of Chinese IR and US-China relations. His presentation is available for viewing here. The public lecture was co-organised with the New Zealand Institute of International Affairs.

Professor Shi and his colleagues visited the China Center to discuss US-China relations and common research programmes. Members of the Renmin delegation included, Professor YAN Jin, Executive Director of the Center for European Studies and Deputy Dean of the School of International Studies, Professor LUO Tianhong, Deputy Director of the Center for European Studies, and Professor FANG Lexian, Director of the International Politics Department in the School of International Studies.
