Pre-departure British migrant study

Researcher: Aidan Tabor (aidan.tabor@vuw.ac.nz)
Supervision: Dr. Taciano L. Milfont, Dr. Paul Jose

Welcome to the portal page for the pre-departure British migrant study.

Begin the survey

This research is examining the experiences of British people who are in the process of migrating to another country, or who are considering leaving the United Kingdom. Those who have been through the period leading up to an international move know that it can be a very challenging but also very exciting time, however there has been very little research on migrants before they depart their country of origin.
If you are residing in the United Kingdom, your contribution to this research is valuable, even if you are still deciding whether or not to migrate (to New Zealand or another country). The survey asks about your steps toward migration, your emotional state, your values and the supportive people in your life. The whole study will not take more than 30 minutes for you to complete. This survey has been approved by the Victoria University of Wellington Ethics Committee.

Results will be posted here on the site of the Centre for Applied Cross-Cultural Research, where I am a Master’s Degree student affiliate. Please feel welcome to email me if you would like a summary of the findings sent to you.

I hope you will participate and send this link on to others. Thank you for your time and attention.
