| Earthquake Hazard Centre
The Earthquake Hazard Centre (EHC) is an information network and dissemination centre for earthquake-resistant construction in Developing Countries. The EHC seeks to share basic earthquake engineering knowledge, commonplace in many countries, with those working in construction-related fields in developing countries. The EHC aims to provide information which is relevant and appropriate to the limited resources available in the communities where this information is most needed. A quarterly newsletter (available through this web site) is the primary publication of the Centre. It contains news and information to upgrade earthquake design and construction practice. By networking internationally with as many relevant institutions as possible EHC can provide you with up-to-date and technologically appropriate information, enabling you to improve the earthquake performance of your built environment. The EHC is a non-profit organisation supported by Robinson Seismic Ltd and the New Zealand Ministry of Civil Defence and Emergency Management. It is based at the School of Architecture, Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. Current Newsletter October 2009 - EHC Newsletter Contents
