Current Research

Counting Sheep: NZ Merino Wool in an Internet of Things

Starting in 2011, Anne will be leading a three-year multidisciplinary research project funded by a Royal Society of NZ Marsden Fund Fast-Start grant.

This project examines how pervasive computing technologies, such as RFID and sensor networks, can be used to trace the production and consumption of merino wool. Specifically, it aims to develop innovative social science and design research methodologies that can produce critical and creative future scenarios in order to support public debate on new technologies in everyday life.
