Roles and responsibilities
Dao joined the ARC in 2016 as a contractor and returned permanently in 2017 to provide administration and financial support to the Centre's research and operation as a Centre Administrator. Later Dao took extra duties as a Programme Manager for the NZ SeaRise Programme, a 5-year MBIE funded programme that ended in 2022.
Recently Dao has taken a role of a Projects Coordinator and manages various projects, including the Our Changing Coast (OCC) programme, SWAIS-2C project funds management, and other large ARC's projects. Her new role is to enhance stakeholder engagement, organise conferences and science activities, coordinate Antarctic field event logistics, and undertake other business administrative duties for the ARC.
