Flatmates Wanted
Room in a house, flat or apartment which is already occupied by
a number of others. Rent given here is the weekly cost for your
room only and does not include any expenses for power or phone unless
clearly stated in the advert.
Flats to Rent
Completely empty property - house, flat, apartment. As new tenants
you may be asked to sign a periodic or fixed term lease agreement.
Bed sit
A bed sit is generally one room with its own cooking and bathroom
facilities. Similar to what might be called a "studio"
but often attached to a private home rather than in an apartment
block. Usually only suitable for one person.
Furnished Room
Usually means a room in a private home, or maybe a boarding house,
which provides all basic furniture (bed, clothes storage, desk and
chair) and may provide bedding and extra bits and pieces. Ideal
for students who don't want to buy their own furnishings but want
to cook for themselves.
Private board
Furnished room in a private home with all meals, use of all facilities
(electricity and laundry) included in the quoted weekly cost.
