Rentals depend on the number of occupants, the condition and location of the flat.

Hall Payments

Fees quoted are for 2012.

There are 38 weeks in an academic year.

The accommodation fees are payable for each trimester in advance unless you have a New Zealand guarantor. If you have a New Zealand guarantor, you pay in quarterly instalments.

Note: Power, phone and internet are not included.

Facilities

• Phone and internet connections are at residents' own expense.
• Most flats have laundry facilities. The remainder have access to communal laundry.
• No off-street parking. On-street parking is in high demand.
• Residents are responsible for cleaning their own flats. Grounds are cared for by the hall.

Furniture

Basic bedroom furniture provided by the hall:

• Beds

• Desk & chair

• Rubbish bin

• Wardrobe

• Pinboard

• Mirror

• Towel rail

Kitchens in the flats are also provided with:

• Stove

• Microwave

• Fridge / freezer

The living/dining areas are also furnished by the hall.

Location

The houses and flats are situated in streets around Kelburn campus. Most are within five minutes walk of the campus and 10-20 minutes walk from the city centre.

General Information

• Summer residency is available.
• The Head of Hall, University Hall group, is assisted by University Hall office staff. There are also Residential Assistants living nearby to assist with pastoral care.
• Smoking is not permitted in any University Hall building.
