Hall Payments

Fees quoted are for 2012.

There are 38 weeks in an academic year.

The accommodation fees are payable to the hall in advance in quarterly instalments. If you do not have a New Zealand guarantor, you must pay for each trimester upfront.

Accommodation fee includes all electricity, heating and water charges.

Note: There is an extra charge for heavy use of electricity.

Facilities

• Phone in each studio. Local, national and international calls are charged using a pre-pay system.

• Rooms have internet access via cable to uStay's high-speed broadband service on a pre-pay basis

• Television lounge and meeting space. Residents are also able to access the Activities Centre on Level 1, Cumberland.

• Communal coin-operated laundry with washing machines and dryers.

• No parking available on-site.

• Residents are responsible for cleaning their own apartments. Common areas outside the apartments are cleaned by uStay staff.

Basic bedroom furniture provided by the hall:

Items in the photos, other than what is provided by the hall, are the students' own. Common areas are furnished by the hall.

Location

Sited on a major, well-lit street within ten minutes walk to Te Aro campus, 10-15 minutes to Kelburn campus and 20 minutes to Pipitea campus. It is on the public bus route for both Kelburn and Pipitea campuses.

General Information

• Security access system operating with swipecard access into the building.

• The uStay management team comprises the Head of Hall, a Community Manager, an Operations Manager and reception staff. There are student support staff to help provide pastoral care, safety and support of residents.

• Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the building.
