Victoria House
Victoria House, within five minutes walk to Kelburn campus, is a traditional hall of residence for 185 mostly first year students. It provides a safe, comfortable community and academic environment where you can fulfil your academic goals while enjoying a social atmosphere and learning the important skills of communal living.

Hall Payments
Fees quoted are for 2012.
There are 38 weeks in an academic year.
The accommodation fees are payable to the hall in advance in quarterly instalments. If you do not have a New Zealand guarantor, you must pay for each trimester upfront.
Accommodation fee includes all electricity, heating and water charges.
Facilities

Phones on every floor for local, 0800 and incoming calls. Rooms in Wallis and Bennett buildings have facilities available for a private line in residents' rooms.

Wireless internet available hall-wide.

Two pianos in the music room and dining room, workshop and projects room, games room, two TV lounges including SKY, three large study lounges.

Kitchenette with a fridge, a kettle and a microwave on each floor.

Washing machines and dryers available at no extra charge. Residents supply own laundry powder.

Residents are responsible for cleaning own rooms. Common areas including bathrooms are cleaned by hall staff.

Covered and outdoor parking available for a limited number of cars at extra charge. Lockable bike storage area.

Facilities available for students with disabilities. Check with the hall manager for suitability.

General Information

The Manager/Warden Christine Jones is assisted by two office staff and other support staff. The support staff, a Study consultant, Senior Residential Assistant and four residential assistants, live on site.
