Work with us
Join us from ideation to impact to address unsustainable practices and develop, test and apply ways to enhance our biological heritage and natural capital.
Victoria is helping Wellington, New Zealand and the world by creating opportunities for developing an exciting sustainable and resilient future by collaborating with our partners and community.
Developing a sustainable and resilient future
Victoria University has research strengths across multiple areas that are relevant to building more sustainable and resilient societies, including climate change science, ecological restoration, landscape architecture, urban design, law and governance.
Associate Professor Marjan van den Belt and Dr Stephen Hartley, who co-Chair the group leading actions under the theme ‘Enhancing the resilience and sustainability of our natural heritage and capital”, discuss how Victoria and Wellington provide an ideal setting for researching, teaching and providing leadership in developing and understanding sustainable practises.
“Sustainability is everybody’s business,” says Associate Professor van den Belt. “We can’t do it alone and welcome opportunities to work with others to solve issues and generate solutions.”
