Associate Professor Ralph Chapman and Morten Gjerde discusses how to incorporate sustainability into our response to the housing crisis

Spotlight Lecture Series - Associate Professor Ralph Chapman and Morten Gjerde

October 2016

The law of supply and demand dictates that if we build more houses, housing prices should come down. But what sort of housing at what sort of densities should we be building? And with the prospect of more housing, what sort of infrastructure will be needed?

Associate Professor Ralph Chapman from the School of Geography, Environment and Earth Sciences and Senior Lecturer in Urban Design Morten Gjerde will discuss these and other questions in a public lecture focusing on how to incorporate sustainability into our response to the housing crisis.

The Victoria University Spotlight Lecture Series is an opportunity to sample the research undertaken by Victoria academics, in bite-sized lunchtime lectures. The Spotlight Series will take place regularly between 12.30–1.15pm in the Wellington CBD.
