Spotlight Lecture Series - Senior Architecture Lecturer Mark Southcombe and Landscape Architecture Professor Martin Bryant

October 2016

Housing costs are driving people and their communities out of our cities so that they will soon become the preserve of the privileged. This isn’t healthy and it undermines cities’ resilience against environmental and other threats to their wellbeing. But what can be done?

Senior Architecture Lecturer Mark Southcombe and Landscape Architecture Professor Martin Bryant discuss housing, urban ecology, why we need to make New Zealand cities somewhere all the community can thrive and how we can do it.

The Victoria University Spotlight Lecture Series is an opportunity to sample the research undertaken by Victoria academics, in bite-sized lunchtime lectures. The Spotlight Series will take place regularly between 12.30–1.15pm in the Wellington CBD.
