University strategies

The University has a Strategic Plan that sets out eight strategic goals which are: Research, Learning and teaching, Student experience, Public contribution, External relations, Equity and diversity, Capability and resources.

Victoria’s Values, Mission and Commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi provide a context for its policy framework. Policies and statutes facilitate compliance, on the part of the University and individual staff and student members, with government legislation.

Creating and amending policies

New Zealand legislation

Victoria University of Wellington has obligations to comply with New Zealand legislation. Refer to the Legislation Applicable to Victoria University and Legislative Compliance Policy documents.
