Carwyn Jones is a Senior Lecturer at Victoria University's Faculty of Law.

Carwyn Jones (Ngāti Kahungunu) is a Senior Lecturer at Victoria University’s Faculty of Law. He has worked at Victoria for 10 years and during that time has served on a range of faculty and university-wide committees, including as a member of Toihuarewa, Academic Board, and the Law Management Group.

Carwyn has a particular interest in the Treaty of Waitangi and Māori legal issues. He was a negotiator for his community in the settlement of their historical claims and is an elected trustee of Tātau Tātau o Te Wairoa Trust, the body that will receive and administer the settlement on behalf of the community. He has written widely in the field of indigenous law and is currently a member of the New Zealand Law Commission’s Māori advisory committee.
